Lucy’s original background is in Biochemistry where she trained at The Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London. She has recently completed two years of additional training and continues to study extensively. She bases her insights on the functional medicine approach.
Lucy’s recommendations are evidence-based and underpinned by scientific research. However, not everything can be studied in a clinical trial, which is where Lucy’s clinical and life/personal experiences are used to back up her recommendations. As a mother of three, she understands what it is to live a busy life and is passionate about providing nutritional solutions for her clients that are effective, simple and practical to apply.
Lucy is passionate about encouraging people to prepare and cook real food to create healthy meals. Lucy works primarily with specific and personalised dietary changes, and often draws on the use of nutritional supplements and lifestyle suggestions. Her interests include hormonal balance; digestive health; immune support; babies, children and teenagers; pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and post pregnancy and sports nutrition.
Lucy is registered with the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and is bound by a strict code of ethics and conduct. An eager student of nutrition, Lucy regularly attends seminars to enhance and keep her knowledge up to date.
